The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will kick off on March 22, 2025, with a thrilling match between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
IPL 2025: 65 Days, 74 Matches Across 13 Venues
This season, IPL will run for 65 days, featuring 74 matches across 13 venues. Out of these, 70 games will be played in the group stage, followed by playoffs and the grand finale.

The opening weekend will be packed with action. After the KKR vs. RCB clash, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 23 at 3:30 PM. The much-awaited showdown between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will take place on the same day at 7:30 PM.

Given the immense fan following of CSK, MI, and RCB, the BCCI has scheduled two matches between CSK vs. MI and CSK vs. RCB this season.
