Alpha Box Office Collection Day 1: Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s YRF Spy Universe film earns ₹15.80 crore worldwide, including ₹9 crore net in India and ₹5 crore overseas.

Alpha Box Office Collection Day 1

Alpha Box Office Collection Day 1 is finally out, and the Alia Bhatt-led spy thriller has started its theatrical journey with a decent worldwide collection. Released as the latest installment in the YRF Spy Universe, the film collected ₹15.80 crore worldwide on its opening day, according to early trade estimates.

The movie earned ₹9 crore net in India, while overseas markets contributed around ₹5 crore, taking its global gross collection to ₹15.80 crore. Although the opening is respectable, it falls short of the blockbuster standards set by previous YRF Spy Universe films.

Alpha Earns ₹9 Crore Net in India on Opening Day

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Alpha collected an estimated ₹9 crore net across 7,534 shows in India on Day 1. The film’s India gross collection stands at ₹10.80 crore, with the final numbers expected after all late-night reports are compiled.

The film recorded an overall 20.40% occupancy on Friday. Occupancy gradually improved throughout the day, especially during night shows, indicating better audience turnout in evening screenings.

Worldwide Collection Reaches ₹15.80 Crore

International markets contributed approximately ₹5 crore on the opening day. Combined with India’s gross collection, Alpha’s worldwide box office collection reached ₹15.80 crore.

The overseas performance has been moderate, and the film will now rely on positive word-of-mouth and weekend growth to strengthen its global box office numbers.

Better Than Jigra, But Below Spy Universe Standards

Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences, Alpha has outperformed Alia Bhatt’s previous theatrical release, Jigra, which opened with ₹4.55 crore net in India.

However, the film has become the lowest opening-day performer in the YRF Spy Universe. Previous films such as Pathaan, War, Tiger 3, and War 2 delivered significantly bigger openings, helped by stronger pre-release buzz and holiday release windows.

Strong Competition at the Box Office

The film is also facing competition from other major theatrical releases, including Akshay Kumar’s Welcome To The Jungle and Imtiaz Ali’s Main Vaapis Aaunga. This could impact its weekend growth, making Saturday and Sunday collections crucial for its long-term box office performance.

About Alpha

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha marks the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe. Alongside Alia Bhatt, the film features Sharvari, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The action-packed spy thriller expands the popular franchise with a fresh storyline centered on female intelligence agents.

Can Alpha Recover Over the Weekend?

While the opening numbers are lower than expected for a YRF Spy Universe film, the real test begins over the weekend. If audience word-of-mouth improves and occupancy increases on Saturday and Sunday, Alpha Box Office Collection could witness healthy growth in the coming days.
