Bandi Sanjay’s Mother Hospitalized After Severe Heart Attack

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s mother Shakuntalamma suffered a severe heart attack in Karimnagar and underwent emergency angioplasty with stent placement in Hyderabad.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s mother, Shakuntalamma, suffered a severe heart attack on Friday, triggering concern among family members and political circles. The 75-year-old was initially rushed from her residence in Karimnagar to Hyderabad for advanced medical treatment after complaining of intense chest pain.

According to family sources, Shakuntalamma developed sudden health complications at her home in Chaitanyapuri, Karimnagar. Considering her age and the seriousness of the condition, doctors advised immediate transfer to a higher medical facility in Hyderabad.

She was later admitted to a leading corporate hospital in Nanakramguda’s Financial District, where a team of cardiologists conducted emergency examinations. Doctors reportedly identified severe blockages in the arteries supplying blood to the heart and immediately performed angioplasty followed by stent implantation.

Hospital authorities confirmed that the procedure was successful and that Shakuntalamma’s condition is currently stable. She remains under observation in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Bandi Sanjay Rushes Back From Delhi

As soon as he received information about his mother’s health condition, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was on an official visit to Delhi, cancelled his scheduled engagements and flew back to Hyderabad.

After landing at Shamshabad Airport, the Union Minister directly visited the hospital in Nanakramguda to meet his mother and interact with the doctors treating her. Sources said he closely reviewed her medical condition and discussed further treatment plans with the cardiology team.

Doctors reportedly assured the minister that Shakuntalamma was responding well to treatment and her health had stabilized after the emergency procedure.

Court Grants Relief to Bandi Sanjay in Social Media Defamation Case

Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay Kumar also received relief from the Hyderabad City Civil Court in a separate legal matter related to alleged defamatory content circulating online.

The minister had approached the court alleging that objectionable and defamatory content was being spread against him across social media platforms, YouTube channels, and satellite television networks in connection with a POCSO case registered against his son Bhagirath.

During Friday’s hearing, the court reportedly issued a gag order directing the immediate removal of objectionable posts and videos targeting the Union Minister. The court observed that digital trolling affecting an individual’s dignity and personal freedom must be curbed.

The judge also warned that anyone violating the temporary stay order could face strict legal consequences, including contempt of court proceedings and action under provisions of the Information Technology Act.
