So far, under the scheme, more than ₹4.28 lakh crore has been transferred directly into farmers’ bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) across 22 installments. Notably, over 2.17 crore women farmers have received benefits exceeding ₹1.10 lakh crore, highlighting a significant rise in female participation.

When Will the 23rd Installment Be Credited?

The biggest question among farmers right now is the release date of the 23rd installment. Although the government has not officially confirmed a date yet, trends from previous years suggest that the payment is likely to be released between June and August 2026.

In 2024, the 17th installment was released on June 18, while in the previous cycle, funds were credited in early August. Based on this, experts expect the next installment to arrive either in the last week of June or between July and early August 2026.

Farmer ID Now Mandatory for New Applicants

In a major update, the government has made it compulsory for new applicants to generate a Farmer ID. Without this ID, farmers will not be able to complete registration on the PM Kisan portal.
