In the Delhi SIIM Sexual Harassment case, Swami Chaitanyananda has been accused of sexually abusing female students and owning a car with a fake number plate. Delhi Police has filed an FIR.
Delhi SIIM Sexual Harassment Case: Students allege sexual harassment
Students have leveled serious allegations of sexual harassment and molestation against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, the former director of the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management and Research (Delhi SIIM) in Vasant Kunj, South Delhi. The Delhi Police have registered an FIR in the case and launched a search for the accused. Police stated that the accused is still absconding and his last known location was in Agra.
Complaint and Police Action
According to the Delhi Police, on August 4, 2025, P.A. Murali, administrator of the Sri Sringeri Math, filed a complaint. The complaint stated that Swami Chaitanyananda had committed indecent acts with female students pursuing PGDM on EWS scholarships. So far, statements from 32 female students have been recorded, of which 17 have explicitly alleged physical harassment, obscene messages, and pressure.

Police seized CCTV footage from the institute and seized a red Volvo car with a fake diplomatic number plate (39 UN 1) from the basement. Police say the accused used the car to flaunt his influence.
Statement from the Sringeri Peetha
The Sringeri Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetha in Karnataka clarified that Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati (formerly Dr. Parthasarathy) has been removed from all positions and legal action is being taken against him. The Peetha also stated that Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management and Research Delhi is AICTE-accredited and that there will be no impact on the studies or safety of students.
Investigation Ongoing
Delhi Police have registered a case under sections 75(2)/79/351(2) of the IPC and conducted raids at several locations. Police teams are continuing to search for the accused.
