Operation Sindoor Ongoing: Indian Army's Precision Strikes Earn Nationwide Support

The Indian Armed Forces recently launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Following this decisive strike, intense political and military activity has been seen on both sides of the border. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence, while in Parliament, the government held an all-party meeting to brief leaders about the operation.

During the 90-minute meeting at the Parliament Library Building, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh made it clear that Operation Sindoor is still ongoing. He said that this is not the end and the armed forces will continue to act in the country’s interest. According to sources, the government informed the opposition that around 100 terrorists have been eliminated so far, though the final count is still underway.

Opposition Stands with Government, Seeks Special Session

In a rare show of political unity, the opposition expressed satisfaction with the operation and pledged full support to the government. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “We heard what the government had to say. Some sensitive details could not be shared, and we understand. We are with the government.” Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, echoed the sentiment, calling for a special session of Parliament to discuss the broader implications.

Owaisi Backs Army, Urges Global Crackdown on TRF

AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi also supported the military action and appreciated the government’s efforts. He suggested launching a global campaign against the Resistance Front (TRF), a proxy terror group believed to be backed by Pakistan. Owaisi urged the Indian government to request the United States to officially designate TRF as a terrorist organization. He also recommended pressuring global bodies like FATF to keep Pakistan on the grey list for its continued support of terrorism.

Key Figures at the Meeting

The meeting was attended by top government leaders including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Health Minister J.P. Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju. From the opposition, key attendees included Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Supriya Sule, Sanjay Raut, Sanjay Singh, Prafulla Patel, and others.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh remarked, “This is a time to stand united. Indian forces have dealt a strong blow to terrorism, and every Indian is proud of their action.”

As Operation Sindoor continues, the nation stands solidly behind its armed forces, ready to counter any further provocation from across the border.
